    • It is based on World health Organisation’s (WHO’s) global strategy on ‘Human Resources for Health: Workforce 2030
      • This was adopted in 2014 under the Recife Political Declaration on Human Resources for Health
  • GI Tag awarded to Mithila Makhana
    • Botanical name: Euryale Ferox Salisb
    • Mithila Makhana is a special variety of aquatic fox-nut cultivated in Mithila region of Bihar and Nepal
    • When a product gets GI tag, other person or company cannot sell a similar item under that name
    • GI tag is valid for a period of 10 years
  • Silk Mark Expo innaugurated in Delhi
    • Silk Mark certification aims at generic promotion of Silk and building brand equity of Indian Silk at home and abroad
    • Certification scheme was founded by the Central Silk Board (CSB) of India in 2004
    • Certification is managed by the Silk Mark Organisation of India, set-up by CSB under Ministry of Textiles

  • Rashtriya Puraskar Portal (https://awards.gov.in/) launched to bring together all National Awards of the various Ministries/Departments/Agencies of the Government of India under one digital platform
